Christmas is only a few days away and if you are still looking for the perfect gift, I have a great one to tell you about! The K’nex Tinkertoy Transit Building Set is one of Kinsley’s favorite toys.  In fact, it rare that I can get her to sit still for five minutes, let alone for hours but this set keeps her enthralled.

I admit, when the Tinkertoy set first arrived, I was probably more excited than Kinsley.  One of my favorite things about raising my only son was his love of K’nex.  We would sit for hours building and just the thought of K’nex gives me warm fuzzies.  What I didn’t expect was Kinsley loving them as much as we did.  But love she did!

The Tinkertoy Transit Building Set is designed to encourage young builders to play and learn. They can create a train, garage, bridge and more.  Their imagination is the limit!

The set comes complete with 15 Easy-to-assemble ideas for all skill levels.  The plane and train were two of Kinsley’s favorites but she had me help her make every one with her.  I was more than happy to accommodate her!

This set is for ages 3 and up and although she may not understand how to make the more complicated designs, she spent hours making “flowers” with the bendy rods and “castles” that lined up across the living room.  I loved watching her imagination run wild.

Even the cat got in on the action!

One of the best things about having five daughters?  Frilly everything!  My youngest, Kinsley, is 100% princess and not afraid to show it.  She is a firm believer that tutu’s are the most essential part of an outfit.  She is so much a princess, that just today, gave me yet another lecture for accidentally breaking her crown….six months ago.  Imagine Kinsley’s delight when I showed her the ultimate website for the girly girl in her, Everything Princesses.

Holiday Gift Guide: Personal Creations Kids Personalized Canvas Bookcase {review + coupon code}

When I was considering names for Kinsley, I had posted on my Facebook Page that I didn’t want to name her something that you would find on a pencil at the drugstore.  A friend of mine responded with “Why, kids love having pencil’s with their name on it”.  It really struck a chord with me because it is so true!  Even though I won’t find Kinsley’s name on items in the store, I can have her gifts personalized with her name at Personal Creations!

With the holiday season upon us, now is the perfect time to personalize holiday items like stockings or ornaments!  Many years ago, I made personalized stockings for the older three but haven’t yet for the younger three children.  The stocking selection at Personal Creations is amazing and I even found the classic style that would match the older kid’s stockings.

Personal Creations has so many cute personalized gifts for kids from toys to keepsakes!  I think a certain little girl in my house would love this Upholstered Rocker with Ottoman.

One of my favorite gifts is the Canvas Bookcase.  This sturdy bookcase is perfect size for her and comes in primary or pastel colors.  With four deep canvas pockets, her books fit nicely.

Kinsley has down right giddy when she discovered the Canvas Bookcase with her name on it!

It’s surprisingly roomy! I love that there is plenty of space to set the books 2-3 thick and 3-4 across.  Even stuffed to the brim with books, the bookcase doesn’t show any signs of stress.

Of course, Kinsley’s favorite part is her name embroidered across the bottom.  I guess my friend was right, kids do love to see their names on stuff. 

This canvas bookcase is perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers.  It’s not too tall for them to reach and is easily cleaned.  I love having a cute way to keep her room organized!
