Starring Patricia Heaton, Sarah Drew, Sean Astin and Trace Adkins, Mom’s Night Out is a story about Allyson and her friends as they attempt a grown up night out of dinner and conversation – a long needed mom’s night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours – piece of cake, right? The girls night out escalates with one comedic mishap after another as the night progresses .
I recently screened Mom’s Night Out and I have to say – SWOON! I liked Sarah Drew before but now I am down right in love with her. She is so talented in this movie, conveying in the first ten minutes of the movie what every mom of little ones feel every single day. I laughed more those minutes than I had for weeks. I could completely relate and understand the need to dress up and have a night sans kids.
Of course, Patricia Heaton rocked as well, playing a pastor’s wife and mother to a teenage daughter. She cracked me up, trying to keep tabs on her rebellious daughter while maintaining her pastor’s wife image – all with a few surprises of her own. Sean Astin will always be a Goonie to me so I was pleasantly surprised to see him as a dad. He did an excellent job in the movie!
The movie was perfectly cast and just so awesome! Each a player in a outrageously funny movie about moms, dads, love, marriage and the hardest job in the world: parenting!
