Growing up, Scrabble was a staple on family game night. My dad wasn’t one of those “let the kids win” parents and would consistently try to out-word us with his triple word scores. It worked to our advantage because my brothers and I would prepare each week, bringing new words to the table in an effort to bring down the Scrabble King. I remember the first time I triumphed over and stole the title!
Now, I have brought the love of Scrabble home to my own children. Scrabble is again, a favorite on family game night. The twins are at a very competitive age so it has been interesting trying to out do their words. Even though, at age 4, Kinsley only knows how to read one word, she loves to watch and help me create words to use against her siblings.
