If you enjoy soda and sparkling water like I do, you are going to love the SodaSparkle Soda Maker!
“SodaSparkle is the new revolutionary way to make your own sparkling water and Fresh tasting soft drinks at home. It is fun, fast, affordable, safe and environmentally friendly.”
The SodaSparkle Soda Maker allows you to turn ordinary tap water into a tasty soda beverage quickly and easily from home. We recently had the opportunity to try the SodaSparkle Duel Bottle Starter Kit and we were not disappointed!
The SodaSparkle Duel Starter Kit comes with two bottles, 1 litter and 1.3 litter, the SodaSparkle machine, 5 CO2 Chargers and a starter pack of 15 single serve flavors. The larger bottle is designed for sparkling drinks while the smaller bottle provides an extra strong fizz. The machine part is small making the entire system easy to store, without taking up counter space.
To use the SodaSparkle, you start by putting a CO2 canister into the machine.
It’s very simple and you just pop it in the open window on the side of the body of the machine.
Make sure your bottle is filled to the fill line and then screw the SodaSparkle Nozzle Cap onto the bottle.
Then screw on the Charger Activating Body (the part with the CO2). Once it is locked into place, (the safety window will close and lock), turn it again and the unit will pierce the CO2 canister. You will see it release into the bottle and the carbonation bubbles form.
Remove the SodaSparkle from the bottle, shake the bottle 5 seconds to complete the carbonation process and then you are ready to pour, add your flavor and enjoy!
The flavors included in our kit are Apple, Lychee, Cola-Lemon, Pineapple and Tonic.
What do we think?
Overall, it’s a great idea. It’s very easy to use and the flavors are great tasting! They do not taste syrupy but light and refreshing. I would love to see more flavors added to the collection because the choices are pretty limited right now. The single serve packets make it nice to accommodate each member of my family with only one batch of carbonated water.
I don’t have to worry about running to the store when I am out of soda and then lugging them back into the house. My amount of waste is dramatically decreased as I only need to recycle the CO2 chargers now. The price per serving comes out to about .50 cents each which is about what I pay anyway for soda but considering the lesser environmental impact from my making my own, rather than the resources consumed to make conventional soda, makes this product very Eco-friendly. The bottles can be used for years and keeps the sparkling water fizzy for up to a week. I give the SodaSparkle two thumbs up! The SodaSparkle is great for making your own sparkling water or soda’s in the comfort of your own home.
You can purchase the SodaSparkle Duel Bottle Starter Kit for $59.99 on the SodaSparkle website.
