Last year we did a 5k on Thanksgiving and we are going to continue it this year. I hope we continue to do. Though my daughter and husband ran, my SIL and I chose to walk. This year more members are going to join us.
We want to start a new tradition this year. There is a Naval Academy near us that will let you adopt a soldier for Thanksgiving dinner. I think that would be a wonderful way to say a small thank you for all that these brave men and women do for our country. I also think it will be wonderful for the children to get to meet him or her and thank them as well. Looking forward to meeting our new friend!
My dad use to work on Thanksgiving and we all would get Thanksgiving ready while he was at work but by the time we are done cooking he would be to tired to eat an go to bed. I would crawl into bed with him with a turkey sandwich and share it with him

I have celebrated Thanksgiving at my home for 15 years with my family (at least 30 people). I love this time with family.
WE ALWAYS HAD DINNER WITH OUR 4 SONS AND GOT READY FOR BLACK FRIDAY. WE ALSO PUT UP OUR CHRISTMAS TREE DURING THANKSGIVING BREAK.
I love the cold weather food. Homemade pumpkin pies (from home grown pumpkins), smashed sweet potatoes, and butternut squash in *everything*. It’s the best food part of the year.
I love the family time …..and the awesome food! I love that it makes people think about what they are thankful for! I be live we should thank the Lord everyday…Even for the small stuff like a lunch because some people are struggling just to have one Neal a day!
I love cooking for those I love.
We all go over to my sister’s house. It’s a pot luck so that way not one person has to cook everything.My b-day is very close to Thanksgiving so we celebrate that too.Thank you for the great giveaway!

Our Thanksgiving tradition is, the whole family; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends gather first thing in the morning each bringing a full turkey dinner. We prepare “To Go” containers for as many people as we can, with what we have, and we head out to the homeless in our area. We then come home and give thanks for what we have…

What I love about Thanksgiving is the entire family gets together. There are a few of us that live in different states, so it is a bit difficult to get together at any other time of the year; however, we all usually make a special effort to raid one of the relative’s homes for this special day.
We go to my dads every year for thanksgiving & deep fry our turkey! Best way to cook it!
