A couple years ago, I started to replace all of our lunch plastic baggies with reusable products in an effort to lessen our carbon footprint. We recently had the opportunity to try Beneterre’s Cool Wrapit! The Cool Wrapit is a reusable and washable sandwich bag with cold pack. Instead of using a plastic sandwich bag, you simple place your sandwich in the Cool Wrapit! The wrap has a special pocket on the outside to store an included freezer pack to keep your sandwiches fresh and cool!
The Cool Wrapit reusable sandwich bag is 100% cotton and comes in a variety of colors. The waterproof nylon is non-toxic and has a pleated bottom for plenty of storage room. All of Beneterre’s products are made in the USA, too!
Using the Beneterre Cool Wrapit sandwich wrap is easy to do. Simply open up the front flap and slide your sandwich into the wrap!
One of our main issues when packing a lunch is keeping the ice pack where we need it most. With the outside pocket on this wrap, I can just slip in the ice pack, secure it with the velcro closure and know that it will stay in place until lunch time. The Cool Wrapit is nice quality and completely washable so those messy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are not going to hurt this sandwich wrap one bit.
It may seem like a small step replacing lunch baggies, but when you consider that every year, over 1 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide and these bags will be in our landfills for over a thousand years, it’s really a huge step at protecting our environment.
