Here in North Idaho, there is a rumor going around that we have four seasons. In reality, we have two.  Wet and Dry, with usually only a couple months of dry weather.  What is a fashion sensible girl to do with her feet in wet weather?  Find something practical for the weather but still cute enough to be stylish, of course!

We had the opportunity to try out the Chooka Chantal Skimmer in black. These stylish flats include a molded, removable, cushioned insole, Neoprene lining and an adjustable strap for comfort and are a fashionable alternative to rubber boots.

When our Skimmer’s arrived, there was a bit of a battle on who in the house would be the lucky recipient of these adorable flats.  Once we saw the insole, we knew immediately that these were the perfect shoes for my 19 year old daughter.  She manages a restaurant and is constantly on her feet.  I knew that not only would the insoles be comfortable but the all natural rubber would be easy to clean and protect her feet from spills or other messy work hazards.  Not only that, because they are stylish, she can go from work to play without bringing extra shoes in the process.

So how did the Chooka Chantal Skimmer’s work for her?  She tried them on and instantly feel in love.  I admit, I didn’t want to let them go.  They are absolutely comfortable and the quality is superb.

She left for her shift and when she returned, I asked her how the skimmers held up after a busy day of work.  She raved about how her feet didn’t hurt for the first time in a long time.  I was concerned about breathability in a rubber flat but I needn’t worry.  She has no problems with sweaty feet at all.  She changed into a cute summer dress and off she went to the beach, still wearing her skimmers!
