It’s The NuMe Giveaway
My children are all blessed with these full, thick, beautiful heads of hair. Lucky for them, they did not get their hair from me. My hair is very thin and very straight.
No body. No curl. No fun.
I have never been able to hold a curl in my hair. Oh, I have tried too. I have curled it with curling irons. I have pinned it in little tight pinwheels. I have used hot rollers. With every method, I might get a few waves. Waves that always fell out after an hour or so, no matter how “extra strong” the hair spray claimed to be. My hair is stubborn!
Until now.
Let me introduce you to one thing that gave me something nothing else could…..curls.
This is the 25mm, white zebra, curling wand from NuMe. She’s a beauty, isn’t she?
This is the first time I have used a clip free curling wand. It did take a bit of practice but once I got the hang of it, it was a breeze. With a clip free wand, you hold the wand with one hand and wrap the hair around with the other hand. This is the part that gets a bit tricky. How do you hold on to it after the hair is wrapped? The curling wand includes a special heat-resistant glove so you can easily hold the hair without risking injury.
I really wanted a before picture to compare to, so I first curled my hair with my normal curling iron and then with the NuMe Curling Wand. Just look at the difference!
*Please note, I used no styling products on my hair in either picture. I wanted to see how the curling wand held up on it’s on merit, without the aid of styling sprays or gels.
You may be wondering why I even bother to curl my hair with other curling irons when my hair doesn’t curl. I used my previous iron to smooth my hair a bit and add some lift. As you can see in the before picture, it’s not that smooth but it does have a bit more volume than when it is left alone.
But look at the after picture! Not only is it smooth but the curls. *swoon* I look like a rockstar with my NuMe hair! It’s the hair I have always dreamed about!

This stuff is so cute! I love the patterns! I was impressed with the wet to dry flat iron. I had no idea that anyone made irons to be used on wet hair. That is pretty cool. I have hair like yours, though, from what you described. No flat iron needed here…but I sure could use a curling iron that would actually leave a curl in my hair! =)

I would LOVE to try the Curling Wand as well. I can NOT keep a curl in my hair (if it curls at all) and I have tried everything as well! Would love to finally find a way to curl my hair as beautifully as it did yours.
