When Samantha was pregnant with Liam, she spent hours at Toys R Us registering for her baby shower. One of the favorite brands she listed was Tommee Tippee. It was the bottles that did her in and I can see why. They are ridiculously cute.
Tommee Tippee has all you need to feed your baby. Everything from breastpumps and bottles, to sippy cups and tableware. The cute factor alone is enough to stock up but fortunately, Tommee Tippee is more than skin deep. The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature product line is made to resemble natural breastfeeding in all products from the bottles, to the breastpumps.
Tommee Tippee sent Samantha a Closer to Nature Electric Breast Pump to review. Now, Sam has used many breastpumps in the couple of months since Liam’s birth and hasn’t had much success. The manual ones take too long during her work break and the electric ones she tried, broke after a couple weeks. We didn’t want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to find one that worked. Tommee Tippee’s is very affordable AND is built to last.

Samantha loved that it felt as comfortable pumping as her own nursing. I know when I pumped for Kinsley, I hated how painful it was. Sam also commented that the design of the Closer to Nature Electric Breast Pump is wonderful. Her last pump broke because milk was able to get into the device making it unusable. This pump is designed so it is not possible and the parts are easy to take apart and clean.
Another perk? You can actually sit the pump down after you are done and not spill the milk. The entire breastpump is designed so you do everything right there without moving. You can pump into a bottle or a pod. When you are done, you can place the safe-seal cover over the pod and set in the storage tray. The tray can then be placed in the refridgerator or freezer in the storage tray. Later, you can pop a pod into the bottle and feed your baby!
The battery and electric options were a big plus for her as well and she really loves how compact the control device was so she can easily fit the entire unit in her bag.
You can learn more about the Closer to Nature Electric Breast Pump on the Tommee Tippee website and you can purchase it at Toys R Us and Babies R Us for $149.00. Her previous pumps were in the fifty dollar range and can not even come close to the quality in this pump. I am so happy we didn’t have to spend four hundred dollars for a good, quality pump. You can also purchase additional pods and stands.
I want to sincerely thank Tommee Tippee for letting us brag about this affordable electric breast pump. Samantha was so frustrated and about to give up because she wasn’t able to find a breastpump that could hold up to it’s claim. Tommee Tippee can.

About the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature 5 oz bottles:
Inspired by nature and developed in conjunction with midwives, breastfeeding moms and babies, Closer to Nature bottles are intuitively designed for easier, more natural feeding. The bottle features a uniquely soft, superwide nipple that naturally flexes and stretches like the breast, and the natural shape lets baby latch on effortlessly, easing transitions between breast and bottle and allowing mom to successfully combine breast and bottle feeding. The bottle shape is simply intuitive, allowing for a more comfortable hold and breastfeeding-like closeness, while the ultra-sensitive anti-colic valve lets babies feed at their own pace, with less air, vacuum buildup and nipple collapse, which can help reduce gas and colic while feeding. Nipples are progressively staged in slow, medium, fast and vari-flow rates to meet growing babies’ needs. BPA- and phthalate-free.
